Loren Tate is a lifelong sports journalist with the News-Gazette. He discusses his start in the newspaper profession, his investigative reporting, and his memories of various coaches. There is a particular focus on the scandals of the University athletics program and the changes he has noticed in sports journalism about women's athletics and Black athletes.
Anne Louise Kenyon Molitor (1911-2009) was a member of the Class of 1933. She majored in English and minored in French. Louise joined the Phi Mu sorority. In addition, Louise wanted to study dress design, but the Great Depression interrupted her plans.
Louise Procter Allen (1914-2005) was a member of the Class of 1936. Louise studied Art and Education; and she joined the Delta Delta Delta sorority. Although her family was prosperous, Louise remembered scrimping and saving during the Depression.

Lyle Mayfield is a traditional musician and writer from Greenville, Illinois. He and his wife, Doris have played music together for over sixty years and have passed their appreciation of music on to their children and grandchildren. Lyle and Doris became involved with the Campus Folksong Club after a chance meeting with Archie Green at the print shop where Lyle worked in Urbana. The Mayfields were especially well received at the CFC folksings and developed many great friendships with club members. Their music is featured on the club's second LP Green Fields of Illinois. Lyle describes his involvement with the CFC as a turning point in their lives where they learned what a treasure they possessed in their musical heritage.
